Getting ETH onto Robinhood Chain
Everything on Moltion, including launching, buying, selling and gas, is paid in ETH held on Robinhood Chain (mainnet, chain ID 4663). ETH sitting on Ethereum mainnet, on another L2, or on an exchange cannot be used here until you move it across.
Bridge onto the chain
If you already hold ETH on Ethereum or another chain, bridge it across.
Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum-stack layer 2, so it has a canonical bridge as well as faster third-party options. We deliberately do not list individual bridges here, because a bridge link that is stale or subtly wrong about the destination chain is one of the easiest ways to lose money. The chain publishes its own maintained list:
Use that page, and check it rather than trusting a bridge link someone sends you in a chat.
Two things to plan for:
- Bridging in is much faster than bridging out. Withdrawing back to Ethereum through a canonical rollup bridge involves a challenge period before your funds are available.
- The final withdrawal step happens on Ethereum and costs L1 gas. Keep a little ETH there if you ever intend to withdraw that way.

Three things to keep in mind:
- Test ETH has no value and cannot be moved to mainnet.
- Tokens launched on testnet are separate from anything on the real site. They do not carry over.
- The testnet curve is deliberately cheaper. A token graduates there at around 0.5 ETH instead of 4.2, so the numbers elsewhere in these docs will not match what you see.
Things that go wrong
Sending to the wrong network. The single most common way to lose money. Your address is the same across EVM chains, but the funds only exist on the chain they were sent to. Confirm the destination network is Robinhood Chain before you press send, especially when withdrawing from an exchange.
Bridging everything. Keep a little ETH on Ethereum if you ever plan to withdraw through the canonical bridge, since the final claim step costs L1 gas.
Forgetting gas. Every action on Moltion is a transaction and costs a small amount of ETH, including a launch, a buy, a sell, an approval, a claim and a fee collection. Do not spend your entire balance on a trade.
Bringing a token instead of ETH. Gas on Robinhood Chain is paid in ETH. Arriving with only a stablecoin leaves you unable to transact.
